What began as a bold idea by Rotary Parys to bring people together has exploded into one of South Africa’s most thrilling street mile events! With the incredible support of Parys Info & Tourism and our vibrant local businesses, we launched in 2023 – and we’ve been sprinting forward ever since.
Where Legends Are Made
In 2024, the Parys Crater Street Mile made history by becoming South Africa’s first World Registered Mile and an ASA qualifier for Free State Athletics. This wasn’t just a milestone – it was a movement. A bold step forward that placed our event on the global athletics map and set a new standard for street racing in the country.
